Train to Malaga

A lot of heavy rain in the night, and more forecast for Malaga, where we are now going, over the next few days. We finish off the food bought in Valencia for breakfast and pack to leave. My rucksack is not waterproof so in a reversal of the normal arrangement it's clean clothes in the drybag and used clothes packed around

The train is not until 1.40 so we have time to visit the archeological museum on our way to the station. There is storage for our bags - just managing to squeeze the large pack into a locker. Because it is Saturday, entry is free - an unexpected bonus. The museum is very good, covering 5,000 of human occupation of the Cordoba area, although the English subtitles on the video displays are short to the point of subliminal

A table leg

It's Earth Day today, and a demo is going on in the central square by environmental protesters

Our train is on time - we have managed to avoid the rain on our walk to the station

It's a relatively short train trip today, just over an hour through an interesting green landscape

Then a change on to the local train and we are on our way to Torremuelle where we are staying with Dave Debbage

Dave is waiting for us at the station

We chat on Dave's balcony, there's a lot to catch up on

We walk to the nearby beach, the water is initially cold but actually quite refreshing

Vera stays out of the water

We take a taxi to Benalmadena Pueblo where we have excellent pizza in the balmy evening air
